Well, I went down to Stormwind town,
and I was feeling parched.
I saw a gray old beggar,
sitting 'neath a great stone arch.
I said, Hey old man, could ye tell me,
where can I get an ale?
He said, I know the best place in town,
and I won't tell no tales.

From the highest boughs of the Elves great tree,
to the deepest Dwarven cavern.
You'll never find a better place,
than The Wayward Son Tavern!

The staff is always friendly,
and the bar is always stocked.
The crowd is always lively,
when it comes round 8 o'clock.
When you've drained your stein of all its ale,
they'll gladly bring you more.
Just take the weapons off your belt,
leave you battles at the door .

From the highest boughs of the Elves great tree,
to the deepest Dwarven cavern.
You'll never find a better place,
than The Wayward Son Tavern!

Doesn't matter if your human,
elvish, draenei, dwarf, or gnome.
The Son is guaranteed to be,
your home away from home.
So when you've had enough of war,
and you're weary of battlegrounds.
Come down to The Wayward Son,
And order up another round!

From the highest boughs of the Elves great tree,
to the deepest Dwarven cavern.
You'll never find a better place,
than The Wayward Son Tavern!

History[]

The Wayward Son, previously known as the Crimson Jewel is a tavern in the park owned and operated by the Retribution of Arathor, Servitors of Lothar and Manifest Destiny. After Ravine's departure from RoA, the tavern was orphaned of its owner for some time until a young man named Robert Forcythe found the location and applied for the deed. Without prior knowledge of the Retribution's history in the tavern, he gave the Jewel a new name, the Wayward Son, and began working there on a nightly basis.

Soon after this Forcythe was murdered, and ownership of the tavern was passed on to Shiawase Deeproots. As a reluctant inheritor, he was often an absent barkeep, but managed to keep the tavern open for the better part of a year. After his subsequent injury and retirement, the RoA as a guild stepped forward to keep the tavern open, and together with Servitors of Lothar and Manifest Destiny are now operating the Son on a consistent basis.
